Project Uplift
High achieving African American, Native American, Latino/Hispanic, Asian American, low income, rural and other rising seniors from historically underserved populations are invited to spend two days on campus to experience the academic rigor and social climate of UNC. This early recruitment program provides prospective students with insight into the UNC-Chapel Hill undergraduate experience. During May and June, approximately 1000 rising high school seniors and other secondary students participate.
For more than 40 years, Project Uplift has consistently provided a diverse selection of rising high school seniors from across the state of North Carolina an opportunity to live, lead, and learn about the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on a first-hand basis.
